erm, okay here to do a post on the YMCA camp that i had. better blog about it fast before i forget what i did during the camp -.- sorry, no pictures.. they didn't allow us to bring camera phones in case some random dude steals it from us.. sad eh? :( lol. k side note- i can post pictures of my camp memento and the kite that we made which doesn't fly at all due to tears and lousy tracing paper material. will be getting those online as soon as my dad gets back. i need him to help transfer my files from my phone/camera to my laptop.

so.. i reached the kalang mrt at 9 plus there and saw sonia there. ayaka came running to us 15 mins later then we walked to ymca academy or w/e it's called. we got welcomed by the welcome cheer which goes like this.. we say welcome!!! we say welcome!! we say welcome we say welcome. we say welcome!! blah blah blah blah we say welcome we say welcome, welcome!! my two buddies/volunteers came rushing up to me to help me pack my bag. then after that we listened to the insturcters doing the camp intros and things like that. we did morning activities like shooting down a plastic cup topped with bean bags and crossing through obstacles(more plasice cups) in a zig-zag manner. we also went to pick out paper cards from a rubbish bin filled with plastice balls(the kind you find in kids playgrounds) to form the phrase "y camp challenge 0'10"!

after that, we ate lunch with rice and some other things.. then we went to practice the campfire dance. pretty fun doing it with my buddies, Chin Yang and Wei Lin. thank you guys for taking care of me!!! :D soon after, we bus-sed to ang mo kio swimming complex or w/e. we had water activites/ elements. we did plastic balls throwing from one rubbish bag to another across the pool to the other people. we also ran to the other side of the pool to get plastic balls then ran back to give to people. was fun. we bathed then went back to the camp. btw, Chin Yang did the water activites with me while Wei Lin sat back and handed us the balls.

we ate dinner and did the hungry cheer. couldn't find my fork and spoon which was hiding at the bottom of my bag. -.- fail. then we did camp fire preperation where we made costumes for one of the buddies and his buddy/volenteer. it looked gay. arrows strapped around his waist, a long braided hair raffel string ponytail and a rubbish bag for a shirt and pants. we also made a bow and arrow out of newspaper. we then ate supper(buscuits and milo) then went to sleep.

2nd day arrived!! we did high elements where i was the first one to go on a rope where we had to climb from one end to another using ropes on top to help us along. it was really hot there so we drank loads of water. my buddy, Chin Yang, went up with me to guide me along the way. we crossed it!!! woots!! was very high and thrilling to cross it. sense of adrenaline much!! woot!!! :) anyway, i helped do the rope manager role and second delayer.

lunched then we made a tent. it was a competition thing and we were the last to finish.. bad bulleyes. oh btw, the theme was toy story and i got bulleyes!! sonia got buzz lightyear and ayaka got rex the dinosaur. well anyway, whenever the music paused, we had to stop. i moved a couple of times and i liked the lemon tree song by john lennon.

we made the kite and Chin Yang drew this tiger. looks really nice. i will show it to you later.
after that, we made a camp momento!!!!! took a photo which was stuck there plus some notes. we also took a camp picture.

night fell and came the camp fire!!! we did cheers, free-style dancing where we danced to songs like dynamite by taio cruz and club can't handle me by flo rida! (my favourite part of the camp) and we also did some camp thingys like the camp fire song. no, not the spongebob one LOL. it was the camp fire burning down one. camp fire burning now, camp fire burning down. camp fire burning now, burn burn burn burn!! camp fire burning in the dark dark night, we say ooooo yea! yippie yippie yea! anyway, we then ate supper and went to sleep.

third and final day, we said goodbyes and gave out prizes. we also had devotion to the lord the previous morning at 7.30 and this morning. was fun. we said goodbyes and boarded the bus to kallang mrt where my dad picked me up.

throughout the camp, Hanisah, Ethan(two workers at YouthReach) and Zul sat in with us to take care of the youthreach people and I. all in all, it was a fun camp. yea, that's about it. look out for the photos comming online soon. peace.
